Community Engagement Coordinator
Sarah Cattermole is a Gija woman and a Kulunga Aboriginal Unit member at
The Kids Research Institute Australia. Within the Embrace and Healing Kids, Healing Families teams, Sarah supports Aboriginal staff by providing cultural guidance and knowledge throughout their research collection and analysis.
Sarah's Aboriginal Community Engagement Coordinator role draws on her background as a trained Aboriginal Health Worker and Aboriginal Islander Education Officer. She has lived and worked in very remote, regional and urban communities. Sarah is passionate about ensuring all Aboriginal children and families have access to culturally appropriate and safe services, so they grow up feeling valued, loved, and important.

An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parenting program
The aim of this project is to develop and implement a culturally safe, responsive and trauma-informed parenting program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
