Be a Research Advisor!
Research Advisors play a really important role in making sure that our research meets the needs of the community. We deeply value the perspectives of people with lived experience, and invite input from siblings and their families to inform the development and delivery of our research.
As a Research Advisor, you will:
- Pilot surveys and focus group/interview questions to make sure that they are appropriate and can be easily understood by research participants.
- Give feedback on our research methods to ensure they are inclusive.
- Suggest ways to share research findings and engage with the community.
- Review grant applications to ensure they reflect the needs and priorities of the community.
- Recommend ideas for research projects and help shape the future direction of our research.
Being a Research Advisor involves looking through our materials and offering feedback via email or in a meeting (usually online). Research Advisors are paid for their time and lived experience expertise.
